The price was lower than most stores advertised price and the clarity of this TV is unmatched. I made the correct choice-no doubt about it.
great product, great value. get a blue ray player to really make full use of its capabilitites.
This TV is extremely clear and looks great too. The reason I bought the A630 over the A650 was due to the Reflective Screen the 650 has. I figured I would pay an extra 300-400 more $$ and buy a TV that would last me a while compared to a cheaper $800-900 off brand. I didnt want to have any glare. The 650 won many awards on CNET.com which I trust. Love the TV and it was shipped with the box in great condition and on time. Excellent experience overall.
Sorry to say the delivery man just came back today to take it back to Amazon Warehouse. VERY bad picture, blurry, ghosting, all around it has a bad choice. It's a lower end model and it showed.
Before I bought this TV I looked and researched LCD TV's. Other than that buying through Amazon I saved 500 dollars after talking with Best Buy about lowering their price. I can't emphasize enough the importance of the matte finish on the screen.
Samsung has come a long way over the years and when I found out Samsung makes Sony's panel and that Sony was way overpriced it was an obvious choice. If you have windows or lighting fixtures that will glare off the TV get the matte finish, when you bring it home you won't even know the difference. I checked out CNET.com, consumerreports.com, and then went into several stores like Best Buy to become familiar with the product.
This is the 630, the 650 has the high gloss screen. Samsung beats out Sony not only in picture, but the aesthetics of the system. The only down side I see is the 10W speakers, but honestly if you are going to buy a tv this big you are more than likely going to have a home theater system so that stat is obsolete.
THis is an awesome TV, the picture quality and options on this system are nice, but if you don't take my word for it check out CNET.com, they give you a video critique of the TV. ENJOY.
